Easy to Use
To send a telex message simply address your e-mail message to the international telex number and send it to Plain Sailing. Our system will automatically send your telex to its destination and then return a complete delivery notification back to you via e‐Mail.
Receiving Telex
Your account with Plain Sailing Communications includes an exclusive UK telex number. Any telex messages sent to that number will be automatically forwarded to your e‐Mail address Free or charge.
Reporting
Users will receive detailed notification for every message that they send via Plain Sailing. This notification will advise if the message has been successfully been delivered or not.
FAQ
Do you provide an international Telex Directory?
Telex directories are no longer published and we are not able to provide details of any bank’s telex numbers. You will need to contact the corresponding bank directly for that information
Can I send Telex messages to any country in the world?
No, many countries PTT’s (public telecommunications companies) have discontinued telex services and it is no longer possible to connect to those countries. Please check our current tariff for those countries that still provides telex services
What do I need to set up or install in order to send telexes?
There is nothing to set up or install, all you need is a company registered email address/domain.
Are there any special format for sending Telex messages?
Yes, telex can only send 5 bit Ascii text. This means that you cannot use all the characters available on your computer key board, you cannot transmit:

How is the costs of sending Telex messages calculated?
Like making an international phone call, telex messages are charged on the duration of the call to the specific destination country. Telex is transmitted at 50bps which is equivalent of about 66 words per minute.
Can I send a file attachment over Telex?
No, you cannot send any file attachments or images/logos within the message text
How do I know if my telex has been sent?
Our telex system will attempt the dial the destination number, if the number is unobtainable or busy we will automatically retry the number up to 5 attempts. Once the telex has been delivered we return a delivery notification including the original text back to the sender email address.
Can you send KKT telex messages?
TelexByNet is a service to send the contents of a telex message created by the customer from A to B. We do not offer any specific banking services such as Swift Codes etc., The customer will also be able to receive a telex message from any of its corresponding clients. However customers do send KTT telexes
