How to e-mail a Ship
We offer a service using the Inmarsat Sat C service to deliver your text messages to any vessel over 500 GRT anywhere in the world.
Inmarsat Sat C is a two-way store and forward communication system that transmits messages in data packets in ship-to-shore, shore-to-ship and ship-to-ship direction. The Sat C terminal is located on the bridge of the vessels.
As you are aware many standard emails can be blocked by the email and SPAM filtering system by the vessel or owners mail servers plus most shipowners do not publish the email addresses of their vessels.
The Sat C system open to receive any text message from any customers registered with Plain Sailing thus ensuring that your messages will get through to the ship
This service is ideal for sending the ship a short introductory message about your offering. If the ship is interested in your services they can reply directly to your regular office email address. You can then continue correspondence with the vessel via your regular email.
